Recent reads: Raven Heart by Murphy Lawless

Last week my friend Catie surprised me by sending me an Arc of her paranormal romance novella. I saved it to read it on the train to Gothenburg and I devored it. I loved the Alaska setting, it felt real, both the worries of survival and the threat of climate change.   The shapeshifter she […]

Teaser: Blurb for Daughter of the Dark.

To tease you, here is the slightly tweaked blurb for Daughter of the Dark. (Though to be fair, it only cover the first half. ) For a century and a half, Jenny McNeill have been living in exile. She has built a nice career as a runner, not drawing attention to herself. Until now. Now […]

The little novella that could

I am really close to being done with Vanished. I am the first to admit that it is a bit messy in the second half. But that is because I hadn’t quite figured out what should happen. In other words: it is a first draft, with room to improvement.  The plan is to finish it […]

Writing all the words

I finished the line edits on Wednesday, after deciding to take the rest of the week off from dayjob after mum was rushed to the ER on Tuesday night. ( She wasn’t admitted,  but I felt she shouldn’t be alone)  After taking Thursday off from writing, I decided to get back to Vanished.  So far […]

Done

I thought I would never reach this stage but the line edits are done. Woot. Which means I need to send all the e-mails on Monday.  For the rest of the week I am going to read all the books on my Kindle and enjoy the weather.  I hope you have a nice weekend!

A glimpse of a past Stockholm

Today I decided to walk Montelius Väg, which is a walking path, maybe 1. km long that runs along the sea from Mariatorget to Slussen. The buildings closest to it is from 1800s. Before 1930s most of Södermalm looked like this. So have a glimpse of a past Stockholm.

Let’s talk about the folly of politicians

I just read a really short notice in a local paper that a local politican wants to ” build buildings to house 4000 people between Gubbängen and Skarpnäck.” Sounds like a great idea. Except that area is covered by Skogskyrkogården ( and a small industries area). Which happens to be a really big bureal place. […]

Teaser from Daughter of the Dark

Time for another teaser from Daughter of the Dark. (Yes, I am going to post these until the book is out.) “It doesn’t matter, what is done is done, and cannot be changed. We can just change what happens next.” -From Daughter of the Dark, coming fall 2016.

Tiny snippet from Daughter of the Dark

The three stories high house with its red-brick façade, dark windows and large, walled –in garden didn’t look out of place in the neighborhood. The elemental magic based wards I sensed beneath the ordinary looking surface told me otherwise. – from Daughter of the Dark

Edits!

My awesome editor has crawled out from the pile of life and deadlines and sent me the line edits that I have been patiently waiting for.  It has been a long wait for them, but I needed the break. Anyway. This means that Vanished is put aside for the next week or so while I […]
