I have been playing around with Inkarnate which is a browser based RPG mapmaker, but it works fine for Fantasy books as well. I really like it, since it is easy to use, and the end result is pretty. This is map over Rhoswyr, the country were Frosthold and Forest of Shadows takes place. It is more or less accurate. Inkarnate is free right now, since it is in open beta, but I suspect it will not remain that way. Even when it is not free anymore, I suspect it will still be a more budget friendly alternative that Campaign Carthographer. This suits me much better that Profantasy did, to be honest, and I am glad that I returned my copy of Campaign Cartographer, due to my Mac not liking the virtual Windows hard drive.
